In 2024, through Festa da Luz, Pública handled the curation and artistic and executive direction of the installations and lighting at Praça da Liberdade's Christmas, the largest Christmas celebration in Minas Gerais. In addition to all the lighting with traditional twinkle lights covering the square's vegetation, shrubs, and trees, 9 installations brought Christmas magic in dialogue with Minas Gerais' popular culture. Artists and researchers collaborated with the team of architects led by Pública to deliver grand luminous installations that celebrate Christmas while also paying tribute to Minas Gerais culture. Highlights include the portico that reproduced the Palácio da Liberdade facade, the illuminated tunnel made with 66 thousand programmed LED pixel points, Christmas balls with embroidery by Meninas de Sinhá, an Inflatable Santa Claus holding a cheese, an immersive bell that reproduced the sounds of Minas bells, and a giant nativity scene by Jequitinhonha sculptor Anísia Lima.
