Outdoor gallery in the namesake community in Ferraz de Vasconcelos, Great São Paulo. Favela dos Sonhos is one of the territories comprehended by project Favela 3D by NGO Gerando Falcões, which aims at restructuring favelas to promote a full transformation focused on improving its inhabitants’ life quality. It’s based on a 3-D pillar: Dignified, Digital, and Developed favela. At this gallery, Pública presented 16 local and national graffiti and mural artists and one neon installation. Through an artistic residency and intense swapping between artists and community, the proposal was to create an art exhibition where inhabitants could see themselves and that would provide socialization at the public space around art. This creates affective memories, widens the sense of community, and strengthens bounds.
